Duration: 2 days lecture only/3 days with hands-on labs
The most common programming activity undertaken with Visual
Basic is also the most complex: Client/Server data access. This
seminar identifies the different data access methods, and discusses
in detail the advantages and disadvantages of each. Topics covered include:
Labs are available as an add-on option. The are interspersed throughout the class and extend it to 3 days. The hands-on learning environment permits the students to experience these techniques immediately.
Attendees should have experience building Visual Basic applications and familiarity with some database product, preferably Visual Basic's JET engine. Experience with SQL Server is not a requirement.
