IMPORTANT NOTE: A very small percentage of machines cannot handle
Fastwire II's turbo serial mode. It works fine on all machines we
have personally tested (including most IBM and Compaq models), but
a few machines experience problems due to the length of time that
interrupts are disabled during a serial transfer. If you notice
any unusual effects on your machine after running in turbo serial
mode, try reducing the operating speed to the NORMAL or SLOW
setting. You can do this by selecting the configuration option
     from the main menu.

*** IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE PRINTED MANUAL ***

During the beta test of Fastwire II, version 2.0, we received some
excellent feedback which we decided to incorporate into the product.
Unfortunately, it was too late to change the printed manual at that
point. This file documents the major changes made to the program since
the printed manual was prepared. Of course, the context-sensitive help
screens and the on-line reference guide reflect these changes also.

    *** Split Screen Options ***

The split screen options have been taken out of the configuration
screen and placed in a separate screen which can be popped up from the
split screen mode by using the F9 key. This key is now listed in the
key definitions at the bottom of the screen.

Several items have been added to the split screen options:

        1) A "sort by" field. You can now have the split screen
directories sorted by name, extension, size, or date, in either
forward or reverse sorting order, or you can choose to leave
            the directories unsorted.

        2) A "prompt" field. This option allows you to specify that
Fastwire prompt you (ask for confirmation) before transferring
            each file.

        3) A "fake it" field. This option allows you to specify that
Fastwire "fake" a transfer and tell you what files it would
            have sent.

*** Split screen wildcard marking and unmarking ***

You can now mark files in split screen mode using wildcards by pressing
the Shift-F5 key. You can unmark using wildcards by pressing the
Shift-F7 key. You can also cancel all marks by pressing the F7 key.

    *** Form Mode Options ***

Form mode now has a F9 options keys also. There is a "prompt" field
and a "fake it" field similar to the settings described above for split
screen mode. Previously command mode was the only mode that had a
"prompt" and "fake it" option. Now all three modes have these options.
