Installing the SP4 Patch

This patch is for Driver/Studio and/or DriverSuite to obtain compatibility with SP4. It covers several products. Use only the binaries the you need.

For Softice (DriverStudio and DriverSuite version 2.7 and 3.0).

1. Save off the existing siwvid.sys located in the system32\driver directory.

2. Save the siwvid.sys from the patch file and copy it into the into the  system32\drivers directory.

3. Reboot the machine.

 

For TrueCoverage (DriverStudio only version 3.0 only – 2.7 should not require patching.).

1. Save off the existing x9tc.sys located in the system32\driver directory.

2. Save the x9tc.sys from the patch file and copy it into the into the  system32\drivers directory.

3. Reboot the machine.

For TrueTime (DriverStudio only version 3.0 only.).

1. Save off the existing x9tt.sys located in the system32\driver directory.

2. Save the x9tt.sys from the patch file and copy it into the into the  system32\drivers directory.

3. Reboot the machine.
