Winamp provides all the features and performance you would expect in an
audio player, at once (as opposed to other players which provide some of the
features and performance).

Updates:
You can go to http://www.winamp.com/ for updates. Feel free to visit
  http://www.nullsoft.com/ for other Nullsoft projects.

Tips:
New! Winamp 1.9+ has audio-file support in plug-in form. The two included
  plug-ins are for mp2/mp3 support (Plugins\in_mp3.dll) and mod/xm/it/s3m
support (Plugins\in_mod.dll). You can get new plug-ins from www.winamp.com.

New! Plug-Ins: Winamp 1.8+ now looks for plug-ins in Plugins\. So be sure
to move all your plug-ins there and install new plug-ins in that location.

The official Winamp FAQ is available at http://www.winamp.com/faq.html

Open Winamp's about box (by clicking on the lightning bolt or
hitting F1) and go to the 'Tips' section for tips.

Shareware:
Winamp is now shareware. See the program about box for more information.
You can now register online! Visit http://www.winamp.com/ for more info.

Bug reporting:
For now, we aren't taking bug reports via email, because of time and
energy concerns. Don't worry, we have a large testing group, and if
you find a bug, in time they will find it too.
