M66     Spiral Galaxy in Leo (NGC 3627)

        Distance from Earth:      30,000,000 light years / 9.3 Mparsecs


        This spiral galaxy is one member of a cluster of galaxies in the
        constellation Leo.  It is distorted because of gravitational 
        interaction with its companions M65 and NGC 3628.
