Datalight ROM-DOS Single User Version
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Datalight's ROM-DOS Single User Version.

The manual (DOCS\Single User ROM-DOS Guide.PDF) takes you step-by-step
through the process of installing Datalight's ROM-DOS Single User Version.

This README.TXT contains any last minute changes that did not make it
into the manual. It also contains the information necessary to create
the boot floppy necessary for installing the software on your system,
in case the InstallShield installation failed.

Installing the Software
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you were unable to create the bootable floppy during the
InstallShield installation routine, follow these steps:

1) Place a blank, formatted 1.44MB floppy disk in drive A.

2) In a DOS box, go to the directory where the software was
   installed. Probably "C:\DL\ROMDOS SUV"

3) Go to the directory of the version of ROM-DOS Single User Version
   you want to use: "622" for ROM-DOS 6.22 or "71" for ROM-DOS 7.1.

4) To make the floppy disk bootable, type the following command:

        C:\DL\ROMDOS SUV\622\> SYS A:
   or
        C:\DL\ROMDOS SUV\71\> SYS A:

5) Copy all the needed files onto the floppy disk with the following
   command:

        C:\DL\ROMDOS SUV\622\> XCOPY *.* A:
   or
        C:\DL\ROMDOS SUV\71\> XCOPY *.* A:

You can choose not overwrite "COMMAND.COM" when prompted.

6) The disk is now bootable and contains ROM-DOS Single User Version.
