How to update Sandra

Standard version users should download the complete package, see Sandra Standard Downloads for links. The WebUpdate Wizard is not functional in the Standard version.

To update Sandra, use the Web-Update Wizard to check for updates; they are downloaded and installed automatically. You don't need to search for files, decompress and install, everything is done for you automatically. See Help for more information about this functionality. The image on the left shows you how the module's icon looks like. The module is within Sandra herself! If you cannot find it, go to Help - WebUpdate Wizard menu in Sandra and run it that way.

Manual Patching

While the Wizard simplifies things, there are cases where you may want to download the patch yourself and apply it, e.g.:

• Backup the patch, so that you don't have to download it again.
• Update a machine without an Internet connection.
• Internet Explorer engine/Proxy/Firewall problems.
• The Wizard or the program itself fails.

NB. 1 You can only upgrade to the next major release (i.e. year change plus the very latest) and not to minor versions in between. This is to reduce the number of patches, the size of downloads and the time & efford required to bring an old version up-to-date.
