SUPERSCAPE MPEGDANCER PLUGIN

SUPERSCAPE MPEGDANCER PLUGIN FEATURES:

This plugin combines several cool technologies to present 3 avatars dancing
to mp3 music that is played in Winamp.

Tempo Detection:
----------------
To keep the avatars dancing to the tune, MpegDancer utilizes a
state-of-the-art realtime tempo detection algorithm capable of detecting
tempos ranging from 75 to 175 BPM in a wide variety of music. After many
sleepless nights, we bring you one of the fastest beat detection algorithms
on the planet! Other algorithms are so slow that they bring high end
workstations to their knees. This one rips along in REALTIME and even
sports a 3D dancing front end!!!

Motion Capture:
---------------
The avatars got their moves from a professional dancer. Eight different
dance moves were recorded using highly sensitive motion capture equipment in
a special studio. We massaged the data so it loops and transitions between
moves seamlessly.

Spectrum Analyzer:
------------------
ooooh! Pretty flashing colors that reflect the music playing.

PROBLEMS:

Q: Why does it run so slow on my 100mhz PC?
A: You need at least a 350hmz PC with some form of video acceleration to
   run MpegDancer optimally.

Q: I have a 700mhz Pentium III and MpegDancer is moving slowly.
A: You will get the best performance when programs other than Winamp
   are closed.

Q: MpegDancer does not load when I launch Winamp. What do I do?
A: Most likely the plugin is not selected in the "select plugins" option
dialog within Winamp. To re-associate MpegDancer do the following:

  1) With Winamp running press Ctrl-K to bring up the Preferences dialog.
  2) Select DSP/Effect in the left side of the dialog.
  3) Select "Superscape plugin for Winamp 2". This will launch MpegDancer.
If you do not see Superscape listed the plugin was not installed
     successfully. Try reinstalling again.
  4) Press the Close button to close the Preferences window.

Q: What do the buttons mean on the interface?
A: Right-Click on the interface (not on the 3D window portion) to bring up
informational screens to describe the buttons.

Q: I have hardware acceleration on my video card. Is MpegDancer using it?
A: Yes, MpegDancer uses HAL when available.
