This file contains the latest information about Grammatik 5 for
Windows.

- Grammatik requires about 2 MB of free disk space for this
version.

- Grammatik is compatible with the following WordPerfect word
processors:

     WordPerfect for Windows (5.1, 5.2)
     WordPerfect 5.1 and earlier (DOS)
     LetterPerfect

For multi-user licensing and network information, view or print
the file
NETWORK.HLP on your distribution disk.

NOTE: This information is contained in your Grammatik directory
      in the file called README.TXT.

Note: If you are reinstalling Grammatik on your network serves
drive, the installation program INSTALL may not ask you if you
want to modify your path, environment or WIN.INI file.
1. Log onto your network with administrator status or with
administrator rights.
2. Start Windows and display the Program Manager.
3. Insert Grammatik Installation Disk into your floppy drive
(either A or B).
4. Click on File in the menu bar. The File drop-down menu opens.
5. Click Run.... The Run dialog box opens.
6. Determine the name of the floppy drive in which you inserted
the installation disk. Then type: 

drive name:INSTALL /FNETWORK.INS 

The installation program INSTALL starts and asks you to type the
path where you want Grammatik installed.
7. To install Grammatik in the default network path offered by
the installation program, click OK. To install Grammatik in a
different network path, press b. Then delete the default, type
the different network path, and click OK.
Note:  If the directory in the path you typed already exists, the
installation program asks you if you want to continue. To
continue, click OK.
INSTALL copies the Grammatik files into the network path you
chose. When INSTALL finishes copying the Grammatik files, it
creates a Grammatik 5 program group and places the Grammatik
program and macro icons into the program group.
Then INSTALL asks if you want your AUTOEXEC.BAT file modified.
The modification INSTALL would make tells your computer where to
find the Grammatik files.
8. If you want INSTALL to modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, click
Yes. First INSTALL copies the contents of your AUTOEXEC.BAT file
to AUTOEXEC.OLD. Then INSTALL modifies your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and
lists the changes on your screen.
Click OK.
If you do not want INSTALL to modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT file,
write down the changes INSTALL wants to make and click No.
INSTALL asks if it can change your WIN.INI file. The change
INSTALL would make tells Windows where to find your Grammatik
preferences files.
9. If you want INSTALL to change your WIN.INI file, click Yes.
First INSTALL copies the contents of your WIN.INI file to
WIN.OLD. Then INSTALL changes your WIN.INI file and lists the
change on your screen. Click OK.
If you do not want INSTALL to change your WIN.INI file, write
down the change INSTALL wants to make and click No.
INSTALL tells you that the Grammatik installation is complete. If
you did not have INSTALL modify the workstation's PATH,
environment, or WIN.INI file, click OK. INSTALL quits and returns
you to the Program Manager window.
If you modified WIN.INI file, click Yes to restart Windows or
click No to quit INSTALL and return to the Program Manager
window. You must restart Windows before the change to the WIN.INI
file can take effect.
If you modified the workstation's PATH and environment, click Yes
to reboot the workstation or click No to quit INSTALL and return
to the Program Manager window. You must reboot the workstation
before the changes to the workstation's PATH and environment can
take effect.

CAUTION If your network requires that you logout before rebooting
your workstation, click NO to quite INSTALL and return to the
Program Manager window. Then exit Windows, log out of the network
and reboot your workstation.
