VMware for Linux contains many ways for you to obtain help. The application contains both online help and several built-in links to the VMware Web site technical information pages.
You must always start the VMware application in order to receive help (with the exception of requesting to see the man page).Whenever you request a help topic that is actually a page on the VMware web site, the VMware application automatically opens a Web browser to make the connection.
VMware uses the browser running on the host OS, not the guest OS and the browser is assumed to be Netscape. If you use a different browser, you must edit the file ~/.vmware/config to add the line
