SYMPTOM

Running DR DOS external commands under OS/2:

CAUSE

Many of the external, and some of the internal commands are not available
to OS/2 users under the DOS emulation shell for OS/2.

SOLUTION

Create a bootable DR DOS floppy with the associated CONFIG.SYS and
AUTOEXEC.BAT files. Internally, these files can point to device drivers
and commands existing on the hard drive, but it is perferred to have the
device drivers and commands on the floppy as well. Create a boot image of
this floppy using the OS/2 VMDISK command (found in the OS2\MDOS
directory). This image can be used to create a DOS window and will
emulate DR DOS 6.0.

Commands not to use in the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT:

EMM386.SYS
TASKMAX.EXE
SHARE.EXE
